Artificial Intelligence is intelligence shown by machines through intensive software engineering and innovation. It is what separates the mind from the body of a machine. It deals with the logical reasoning and serves as the central processing unit of a machine. Artificial Intelligence Research aims to one day give machines the ability to think like humans and have the reasoning ability of a human. This is to further improve our future with different kinds of machinery and software. Soon, most if not all jobs will be done and operated by robots or computer programs. That’s what makes AI a breakthrough discovery.

Artificial Intelligence research is probably one of the most complex fields of study today. It requires lots of time and research in order to make something perfect such simple tasks. Through the years, Artificial Intelligence is slowly being perfected until eventually it would have the same reasoning of a human’s brain.
Artificial Intelligence has many branches and neighbor fields. Robotics do not stray too far from Artificial Intelligence. In fact, according to Andrew Ng of Stanford University, if we want house-cleaning robots, what we’re really missing is the software or the artificial intelligence of the machine. Robots are physically and mechanically capable of doing things humans can do, but lack the software to make them smart enough to do these things themselves. Robotics and Artificial Intelligence need each other to function as a whole. Robotics will help build the physical appearance and internal parts while the artificial intelligence will deal with the thinking capabilities and it’s controls and perception that would allow the product, machine, or robot to do things by themselves.
