Artificial intelligence
What is AI?
AI or the artificial intelligence is a simulation of human that is processed by a machine especially the computer system. A.I. systems are merely advanced machine learning software with extensive behavioral algorithms that adapt themselves to our likes and dislikes. While extremely useful, these machines aren’t getting smarter in the existential sense, but they are improving their skills and usefulness based on a large dataset.
How can AI help human?
AI can help human through computer by managing their file, setting up a security and even helping humans for their own schedules. Artificial intelligence can even go farther from healthcare, agriculture, economic development, education and training, etc. artificial intelligence is not fantasy anymore because there is some AI that exists today and they are AI’s that can be categorized as either weak or strong. Weak AI, also known as narrow AI, is an AI system that is designed and trained for a particular task. Virtual personal assistants, such as Apple’s Siri, are a form of weak AI. Strong AI, also known as artificial general intelligence, is an AI system with generalized human cognitive abilities. When presented with an unfamiliar task, a strong AI system is able to find a solution without human intervention.
Some people says that AI will replace humans in the future and we will be overcome by them and I don’t think that can happen because there are something that AI cant possess like Consider the feelings of the other person, Make a person feel seen or heard, Feel empathy, Feel sympathy, Make a person feel taken care of, the way a mother or grandmother, father or grandfather can make a person feel taken care of, Understand comedy, Be good at comedy, Be a critical thinker, be creative in the way the great minds of our time can be creative, and specially having feelings that every person have and feelings can’t be copied by any other AI because that is a unique traits the humans have.
Interaction of AI to human
There are many AI today that humans interact with like SIRI, Alexa, Tesla, cogito, Boxever, John Paul, amazon.com, Netflix, Pandora, nest, etc. and they are not a threat for the humans existence or maybe not now. Because the evolution of Artificial intelligence is not slowing down but is keep on rising every single day. And it’s because humans is fixated on improving life and this use of technology is driving humans to improve it no matter how hard it gets humans will always improve and will improve. Think of everything is powered by AI would it be amazing and easier for us to do something like a normal task that can take days to do and make it in just minutes.
AI can be anywhere and they can be put to wherever you want as long that they are connected to a computer system like a robot which is a AI powered robot that is based on human or a human like robot but there are limitations on what this AI robot can do and some of them is that they possess no natural intelligence, and can only capable of solving problem and “thinking” in a limited capacity. And this human like AI robots is not yet complete because it can only do is think and its only limited and they can only imitate the human by eyes and the movement of the face and its going to be a long way before they can walk or do things that humans normally do.
Knowing that AI is known for being ubiquitous there is this one questions that is running on our mind and this is how frightened should we really be on AI’s? This question is not new for use because almost all of us are curios of what an AI can really do in the future and you are familiar of some movies that use a bit of AI and make it to a super AI that threatened the world in danger. But first have you considered yourself aware that you are intrusting your daily schedules to SIRI and Facebook can detect your face when you are in a particular photo? As you can see Computers are already proficient at picking stocks, translating speech, and diagnosing cancer, and their reach has begun to extend beyond calculation and taxonomy. And A.I.s has even worked out the modern riddle of the Sphinx: assembling an ikeachair. Larry Tesler, the computer scientist who invented copy-and-paste, has suggested that human intelligence “is whatever machines haven’t done yet.” This word from Tesler is informing us that the machines or the AI “haven’t done yet” the human intelligence is quite scary because he saying “yet” means AI’s can do or can achieve the human intelligence someday and can even surpass it.
“I don’t know how we can exist knowing that there exists something mentally stronger than us.” This statement is said by kasparov the former chess champion after he lost his famous match with I.B.M’s deep computer in 1997. By the words of him we can tell that the AI that beats him have a stronger mind on playing chess than him and not long that AI will have the intelligence that we have and even surpass us. Humans have a long way for achieving the AI that has a human intelligence and only time can tell whether they can do it or not.
“One day, the AIs are going to look back on us the way we look at fossils and skeletons in the plains of Africa” said by Nathan, Ex Machina. According to what he has said. It would make sense that the race to produce true AI might slow with all of this media teetering between horror and sci-fi on the subject of AI circling the globe. But the acceleration of how AI improve has only increased more in a past years, some of the people find AI somewhat unsettling and it feels like it because having the idea of something that is being close to a human that only consists of wires metal and codes that have the ability to recall and analyze more data and gather information faster than any human could and their only purpose is to serve human because they can be stronger than a human. Having both the ability to learn much faster and do things faster than a human can do is frightening.
Even if having something much stronger and brighter than us the field of artificial intelligence is still growing and it is advancing all the time. But we are on the early stages of development in artificial intelligent. We can all assume that the artificial intelligence is not at their pick and still continuing to improve.
